sand, alginate, video, sound
alginate is an industrial material derived from seaweed and used for casting. shapes made from this material lay in sand covered by prints alongside a video of 3d reproductions from demolition sites. The video is made through a 3d mapping program used by architects and engineers. while this process captures the surface structure and texture of objects, the lens allows viewing inside them as if they are hollow. The sound piece, leviathan supersystem, is a composition of recordings of sea animals using acoustic communication.
